Ancestral Medicine Women

All of us sometimes have an aggressive or violent outburst and we say things, maybe with a tone, that we really do not mean. This can be confusing, because what came out is possibly not what you think, but it raises the question; if you said it, is it what you really think…

The Mothers say no, if you have an outburst from time to time, it just means:

(1)  you are very normal
(2)  some very small part of you is being suppressed, denied or even excluded. No one likes being denied or excluded, and when   we do, we think too much about our woes and we’ll develop strategies to get back in to the dialogue of life. Let’s call this part of you, your ‘Goblin.’
(3)  put simply, you just need safe space in which to let your Goblin out, somewhere where it can say what ever it wants, however crazy that might be, and not be judged.  If it gets to do this, the pent up energy it has gets to be released and moved on, and then things relax and seem less confusing. The more you do this, the more your Goblin becomes an asset and a creative part of life, not needing to control or be controlled or to be feared.

Shining light into some of the dark areas of who we are may reveal some of your kindest and most creative qualities.

Blessing be with you!

Brad, Caroline and the Mothers.
