To be shaman is not just about relying on structures and traditions, it is about taking these and experiencing them in your own way. It is your belief system that creates your experiences. Another will never experience the same as you. Your teachers way will be one belief, but that is his/hers belief, but it is your belief that creates your world, your journeys, your healing. The academics will postulate traditions and rules and so on, however being shaman means to experience these things practically, in your own way.
Shamanism is different for everyone at the individual level, and that is where your strength, your magic, your insights, your healings really come into their own.
SHAMAN: find your strength and way within, all these rules, traditions and structures are supports. Shaman is within!
Thank you! Although we are all alone, we are also all connected. Your explanation has made me realise that I am only one in 7 billion people, but I am also THE only one in 7 billion. Being unique is marvellous!
